To understand about the conflict between Israel and Palestine one should know about its location in world map and historical background which caused such a violence .

Israel with total area of 20770-22072 km² found at the crossing junction of Europe, Asia  and Africa. It lie in the Asian continent with Jerusalem as its capital and largest city. Israel consist of mainly Jewish and Arab with 74.2% and 20.9% ethnic group respectively.

Historical Background
The conflict has been on going for more than a 100 years between Jews and Arabs over a piece of land on the top of hill in Jerusalem, Jews claimed Palestine to be their natural home while the Arabs too did not leave the land. 

History of the Israel-Palestine conflict  

This conflict began in 1948 with establishment of the state of Israel. After World War 1 Palestine area was covered by a Jewish minority and Arab majority. But tension between Arabs and Jewish took place than  task was given to the British to set up "National Home" in Palestine for Jewish people.
As for Jewish, it was their ancestral home but Arabs also claimed the land this led to conflict between both.
In 1947,the UN ordered Palestine to be split into separate Jewish and Arab state with Jerusalem becoming  an international city, It was accepted by Jewish but rejected by the Arabs and never implemented and in 1948 when problem was not resolved than  British rulers pull out their legs and Jewish people declared the establishment of state of Israel and this too led to internal war where many Palestine people were thrown out of their homes this is called "Al Nakba" or "The Cotastrophe" and Israel took the charge over most of the territory.

Violence which began in east Jerusalem  in April now reached to to Military attacks from Israel as well as Palestine. Israel bombarded Gaza with Artillery and air strikes and Israel Defence Forces tweeted that they had began attack in Gaza. The health ministry in Gaza said that 87 Palestinians were killed including 17 children and 7 women.
